Hello.  I am in DESPERATE NEED of IMMEDIATE financial assistance!  PLEASE READ MY STORY!  I apologize that it's a bit lengthy, but I feel the need for my situation to be understood.I am a professional woman (and artist) who has worked as a business administrator for over 20 years.  I can hardly believe I find myself in the current situation.  Nearly two years ago, my sister was diagnosed with Brain Cancer.  A little over a year ago, I had to stop working in order to care for my sister.  I was initially able to support myself but the funds have LITERALLY dried up.  I have $7.71 in the bank and virtually NO cash on hand. I applied for unemployment in December but was found ineligible.  I have filed an appeal but the process is painfully long and I have yet to receive any payments.  So, at this point, I have not received a single dime of income for the last three months.  The most IMMEDIATE NEEDS:
  • MOST URGENT: My medical insurance provider has given me until this Thursday, March 5th, to come up with the $1,468.50 that I owe them before they will terminate my polcy! 
    • This is an absolutely DIRE situation as I MUST have my medical insurance. 
  • SECOND MOST URGENT: I must come up with $591.78 before Wednesday, March 11th or my phone services will be cut off.
  • THIRD MOST URGENT: My rent for March is due immediately and that is $1,100
  • FOURTH MOST URGENT: My car payment is two months behind and I must come up with $1,090 so that my car will not be repossesed.
Those are the MOST IMMEDIATE needs.  In addition to the above list...
  • I am 2 months behind on my utilities, totalling: $315, and am in jeopardy of having them cut off.
  • I have misc. debt payments that are delinquent and have gone into collects and judgements. ($370)
The total funds I need (just to be current and NOT including any expenses for March) is about $4,935!  I AM COMPLETELY OVERWHELMED and PANICKED about all of this!!!The worst part is the shame I feel for being in this situation.  I know in my heart that I have had to do - what I had to do - for my sister.  I do not regret the sacrifices I have made for my beloved sister.  However, now that I have given all that I have to help one that I love so dearly, I now find myself in DIRE NEED OF HELP!I've kept a positive attitude until now and have tried to just "know" that everything would work out.  But now, it is down to the wire and my situation is now URGENT!  I kept thinking that by the time I ran out of money, I'd either be having self-employment/freelance income coming in or, at the very least I've have the unemployment, but that is not the case.I have been working to get my own business going and/or seek "employment" outside of my home.  However, the amount of time I have had to spend trying to get resources together  has made it very difficult to establish a new regular stream of income.In the meantime, I HAVE been/AM trying to raise the funds and cover these costs through various efforts:  I applied for temporary government general assistance for my rent - that has not come in yet (and only covers $230 of my rent); I applied for temporary government food assistance - that has yet to come in; I have begun to sell my belongings on Ebay, Craigslist, and I'll be having a sale this weekend.Still, non of my efforts have YET produced the funds I need to get out of this trouble!  So, I have resorted to seeking the aid of strangers, as I do not know what else to do!!!The good news is that my sister recently had brain surgery and it was a miraculous success.  Even her surgeon said, "Certainly, the outcome was far better than any of us could have ever hoped for!"  This was truly a miracle and we feel truly blessed.  Now, I just need to get my life back together.Please let me know if you can help me in any way!  Your assistance will be met with profound GRATITUDE!  My intention is to, at some point in the future, repay the kindness of those who would help me.  I hope to hear from people soon!Most sincerely,JRee
